WISE EdTech Accelerator 2027: Applications Open
Building an education technology startup with a working product and real traction? The WISE EdTech Accelerator is accepting applications from founders worldwide for its 2026–2027 cohort.
WISE identifies this as a hard deadline. Late applications will not be accepted.
Apply through official WISE website ↗What is the WISE EdTech Accelerator?
The WISE EdTech Accelerator is an initiative of WISE, established by Qatar Foundation, supporting education technology ventures that are developing and scaling solutions to real educational challenges.
It provides tailored coaching, mentorship, industry connections and opportunities for international visibility. WISE reports supporting more than 54 alumni ventures, with over 100 hours of coaching and mentoring and three in-person bootcamps associated with its accelerator offering.
The program is designed for founders who have progressed beyond an initial idea and can demonstrate product adoption, commercial traction and measurable educational impact.
Two tracks. Different growth objectives.
Local Track: Qatar
For startups looking to enter or expand within the Qatari education market.
- Mentorship tailored to the Qatar market
- Connections with local education stakeholders
- Networking and ecosystem exposure
- Potential access to partner funding and grants
International Track
For startups looking to scale internationally without focusing on one specific market.
- International mentor and investor network
- Product and business strategy guidance
- Market expansion support
- International events and visibility
Funding clarification: The Local Track advertises access to funding and grants through partners. WISE does not specify a guaranteed grant amount, investment cheque or equity terms for accelerator participants on the official program page.
Who should apply?
WISE describes its target applicants as early-stage, for-profit EdTech ventures with existing traction and the ability to scale.
Product maturity
Beyond the MVP stage, with evidence of adoption and sales.
Funding stage
Typically seed to pre-Series A, with less than $500,000 previously raised.
Business model
For-profit ventures. NGOs and nonprofits are not eligible.
Geography
Founders from any country can be considered, subject to the program criteria.
Education focus
K–12, higher education, professional development and other education technology subsectors.
Team
Co-founder teams are preferred, with relevant execution capabilities.
WISE also evaluates innovation, scalability, financial sustainability, team credentials and educational impact. A strong application should provide evidence rather than rely on broad claims.
What do selected startups receive?
- Coaching and mentorship: Personalized support across product development, positioning, sales, fundraising and growth.
- Investor and industry access: Introductions and exposure through WISE's education and investment networks.
- International visibility: Potential participation in global conferences, WISE events and promotional activities.
- Qatar ecosystem access: Local Track connections with relevant institutions and potential funding partners.

- The education problem: Who experiences it, how frequently and why current solutions fall short.
- Product differentiation: What makes the solution meaningfully different from alternatives.
- Traction: Paying customers, pilots, usage, retention and adoption data.
- Educational impact: Evidence that the product improves learning or other relevant outcomes.
- Business model: Who pays, pricing logic, customer acquisition and commercial sustainability.
- Growth strategy: The next markets, milestones and resources required to scale.
- Program fit: Why WISE is the right accelerator and how its support will help the company reach specific milestones.
